ABOUT

Photo of Keith CorcoranHere's where I get to talk about myself and how super-awesome I am without sounding too full of myself. This is a tricky thing to write because if you go too far you'll be viewed as a pretentious type with 'all sizzle and no steak'. On the other hand, if you don't say enough about yourself, you run the risk of marginalizing your skills and accomplishments. This is usually the time I fall back on letting the work speak for itself. Actions tend to speak louder then words depending on the company you keep (or work for) so I just do what seems to come naturally for me and let the chips fall where they may.

That said, if you're still reading this (which I'm not sure who would be), I'll give you a quick background.

I'm a solid, performance oriented leader with over 12 years in the interactive design space. After joining the US Army in 1990 as an Airborne Infantryman I was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. Following a brief combat tour during operation Desert Storm I spent the next 4 years in the 82nd. Given the opportunity to reclassify to a Multimedia Illustrator, I spent the next 6 years working for various Army Headquarters units in Korea, Arizona, and Germany.

In April of 2000 I left the Army as a Sergeant after 10 years of highly decorated service. Since then I have worked in a variety of business sectors including finance, entertainment and communications.

Currently I am employed as an Art Director at American Greetings in the interactive division creating social expressions content for www.americangreetings.com, www.egreetings.com, and www.bluemountain.com.

My goal is to continue doing the best I can do in any situation I find myself. Currently that includes taking care of those under my charge and creating visual solutions that ellicit an emotional response in those who view them.

A Senior Art Director or Creative Director position would be nice too.
